Johnny Winter
Remembering a legendary Musician Johnny Winter, and one of the best influences on me that I can say has been consistently
number 1 for as long as I can remember playing guitar. I love his attack, his stage presence and his voice. To me Mr. Winter was all of that and more… His association with Muddy Waters, his New York City trips in the late sixties and early seventies are in several books of which I have read some. Me personally, I have met Johnny Winter three times in our past. One of which my band opened his show in Hollywood. He had treated us with kindness and respect. We talked a bunch, had a few laughs together and even a couple Coronas too.
So today, I find myself thinking, man what a life he lived. I wonder if he was happy in the end, I mean did he accomplish all the great things he could dream up. I imagine so, I mean think of how many million lives he touch from the beginning to the day he past at 70 years old… I for one am grateful for him touching my life and teaching me things that I hope will always be a reflection of his good words shared with me.
In my eyes Johnny, you will always be “Still alive and well”
Next are two reports of his passing with reviews of this Legendary Artist
