I was curious if you ever considered changing the structure of your blog?
Its very well written; I love what youve got to say.
But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with
it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having 1 or two images.
Maybe you could space it out better?
Hello Rochelle
As a writer of my own music and lyrics of over two dozen full CD’s, I have approached topics and themes of everyday life from a whole slew of angles. That getting lost in these stories I’ve created kinda extends into tales in the blogs and I’ve noticed the long winded post they become in the end. So I get what you say here. I’ll try to include more related photo’s, pieces on related music within the Shane O’Brien and O’Brien’s Edge catalog. Lord knows there is a lot on the shelf that hasn’t been actually released as yet.
Just from your description of our take on my Blogs, I’m thinking your are a skilled writer in the world of blogs or posting in any Social Media> I will concentrated on a more groomed delivery. Hopefully my next posting will show that as well. Thanks again for your insight, a great thing to share.
Best Regards
Shane
Another noteworthy life to examine and write about is that of Teddy Roosevelt Jr. and his family. One of the things he said that I favor is, “I found what I would always find there; a place in which to restore myself” (he said this in reference to going to what he called the wilderness). It is exactly what I experience when I go camping. There are so many levels on which anyone can relate to in the life of Teddy Roosevelt Jr., I wish that more teachers in schools would tell his story so that those who feel they are “less than” or being bullied, etc. could be given the inspiration to succeed, no matter what.
Wasn’t that visionary President who set aside land across the USA for the creation of our precious National Parks?
A President who showed wisdom, how inspiring that was and is for many generations to come.
Yes, and his entire life was inspiring, from his childhood and on. One of the things he said was, “Be infatuated with everything; as log as it provides the opportunity to excel”.
Another quote I keep from his life is, “Get action; do things; be sane. Don’t fritter away your time. Create. Act; Take a place wherever you are and be somebody. Get action”. In other words, keep moving, keep doing something in order to stay sane. This was said right after his father passed away, his wife died following the birth of his child, and a few other horrendous things that would have put anyone in a psych ward for at least a few weeks. He “restored” himself in the “wilderness”, and kept his sanity by doing things -- being productive. He was an amazing man, a great example to all.
