The fine points in design and artwork details are being refined as we speak... The expected release date from Jungle Music Productions will be announced after the New Years Eve 2012 show by Shane O'Brien and O'Briens Edge. That performance will be recorded to audio and video. Also, that show may dictate the new music made available soon. Shane has made clear that he prefers an album that contains studio and live music. So a heavy consideration to a double album release is being considered. Stay Tuned on this info. See info on the New Years Eve 2012 show at our blog obriensedge.com

The Story Behind “Wang Dang Doodle kinda sorta” Chapter 8

The Story Behind The Song
Chapter 8

Wang Dang Doodle kinda sorta

Another installment in the ongoing presentation of the musical works by:

Shane O’Brien

Arrangement ©2004 Shane O’Brien
Album/CD  Share the Vision track 12
℗2014 Jungle Music Productions
Based in part from the classic Willy Dixon song Wang Dang Doodle

Shane O’Brien since 1999, has a lot of fun with the songs he chooses to record over the years. O’Brien has written the Music of Shane O’Brien and O’Briens Edge other than the unique to say the least individual arrangements to five pieces written by others, In 2004 with the accompaniment from friend, partner and band mate Jimmy Solo, as they created a new signature sound for a Willy Dixon Classic.
Shane O’Brien dubbed it’s modified title to reflect the changes, thus it became their own “Wang Dang Doodle kinda sorta”.
This is not meant to be anything at all the same as the Dixon classic, and it true, obviously true after listening. It’s licks in rhythms are the real foundation to the background musical jam supporting a vocal story that is genuinely funny, kinda sorta, especially if your in the trades as an iron worker, and again especially if your an Ironworker out of local 433.

This is all explained in this video which was created as another Chapter of the obriensedge.com ongoing web series known as “The Story Behind The Song” by Shane O’Brien Chapter 8, Titled
“Wang Dang Doodle kinda sorta”

Suggested listening to this Artist:
Charles Bradley is pure fun to listen to, with his soul sound vocal delivery and a Funk Brothers style support band. Every track is a dance track reminicent to the styles of James Brown and Ottis Redding.

Video Clip titled Interview with God is well worth the viewing today

Video creation that is well worth the appeal I get after viewing it for the first time, so I felt compelled to post it on my Band’s Blog page. To me it is one of those videos that no matter what someones position is regarding religion, what race or belief system that is one’s foundation in life, it’s simply cool to see and interesting to ponder it’s words. That being said, please check it out for yourselves. Also my great big nod of respect to the Holdman Family for your work to this gorgeous video…
