To get the most out this web site, we suggest opening two tabs simultaneously

Simply copy the URL from the Browser bar on top of the page, open a second tab and paste the URL again in the Browser bar then hit enter. Now you have it obriensedge.com opened in two tabs. You can hear music from the music player while opening a variety of menu options.

For example: In the 1st tab listen to music from two complete albums uploaded in the Music Player located in the Music menu , while in the 2nd tab you can read along with the all the words belonging to that same track in the Lyricsmenu. Simply hit one of the Album Images to reveal the Titles List. Pick the matching title and the actual lyrics will be on display. Do this technique a couple of times and it comes easy.

There is enough music in the player to virtually view the complete site beginning to end. Cool Huh?

Comments are welcomed and this is the page where it’s done, so feel free folks…

Get a refreshment if you’d like and kick back for a while. Hopefully there will something that you like here and you’ll find that you have turned up the volume up a little, just as a reflex…

Regards

Shane

  2. Danny Timms
    Southland-based musician Danny Timms -- referred to as
    “One of the (music) industry’s premier sideman,” by the LOS ANGELES TIMES’ writer, Bill Locey
    — is multi-talented keyboardist, guitarist, accordionist, and vocalist.
    Timms has played with a veritable who’s-Who in the music business,
    Including Bonnie Raitt; the Highwaymen, Michael McDonald;
    Los Lobos; The Fabulous Thunderbirds; Kris Kristofferson;
    Walter Trout; Peter Case; Edie Brickell; David Cassidy;
    Shane O’Brien; Don Haney; and Billy Swan

  3. Shane O’Brien’s raspy soul inflected voice over tracks that even the uninitiated to Blues and
    Rock “n” Roll would appreciate. His home, inside and out, looks like a scrapbook of
    Experiences that could really be converted into a gallery of Americana art…

  4. He does write and play some of, if not the best blues music I have had the pleasure of ever hearing… Give him a listen

  7. Shane you are my fucken god,
    Without your music the entire art would be a dead carcass
    And have no purpose in this modern age you rule.

  8. I’ve a lot of talented folks in my life Shane and you are at the top of the list.
    We’ve lost too many others but for our friendship of 3 decades
    You have been there as amusic mentor and a True Friend forever bro!

  9. Hey Shane,
    I don’t know what your weather is like in So Cal right now but here it reminds me of when you recorded “When it Rains”. It’s F’n coming down bro and I was thinking about that and just wanted to share that with you.

    Your site is something. I wish you luck and God’s help in your work.
    Your message of gratitude for the iron workers is commendable.
    That day, that evil day, should never be forgotten,
    And going forward with the freedom tower
    Is one way to tell the world that we will persevere, with God’s help.

    Checkin’ out the bass player in yer pic rememberin’ days at the heights when you were teachin me discipline tellin me “you’re gonna keep playin it all fucking nite ’till you get it right” and sometimes we did ’cause that’s what it took. Thanks for those days, if it wasn’t for your encouragement and discipline I would not be as good of musician as I am today, I learned a lot and I am better for it.
    I love Ya Brother Shane,
    Blessings, The Rev

  14. Dear Frank,
    Wow! You couldn’t have written to a man at a better time. I removed everything that I had created regarding this most current close to my heart endeavor, from anywhere on the internet. I thought “Oh my God”, the very last thing I would want to do is hurt anyone emotionally in regards to this very delicate subject.
    I still have the same passion and everything, I just thought that it would be real smart to mature up a little on my part, and that a re-approach is in the calling. I still have everything I had created backed up in my computer document files, so everything can be reviewed and called back up and all… At anytime from anywhere I may be in the country as well.
    It is important to me too show a huge amount of care in this project. The brave men that are in subject are to be commended not offended. As a matter of fact, I don’t even know if the sole critic was involved in any way. I didn’t ask and never responded for fear of agitating a conflict or even perhaps open a sincere heartfelt scare from a possible chance the he was a volunteer.
    I already invested about 1500.00 of unseen dollars in this idea. Never did I expect to even think of getting anything back from it, let alone profit in anyway shape or form as a results of my ongoing efforts. Man! You can write a book on guys who follow these kinds of paths…
    Anyway, the good Lord seems to put things in front of me that I surely can’t explain or dare to question these days. Here’s a wonderful healing example that I most recently have been presented. I saw it this morning for the first time. So cool, on time man and just so cool. It’s Raw and Real too!!! Just like everything else I have created.

    Frank, I can’t say enough how much your thoughtful word means to me. If you would like, supply me with your mailing address and I will send to you one of the Stickers I designed and printed up at a Union Print Shop. “My gift to you brother, just because…”

    Hey Shane- I heard about the static you got about the 911 project. Just thought I would give you my 2 cents. I hope you don’t lose your passion as a true blue patriot. That has always impressed me about you. Never mind the great guitar skill you have…never mind your searing lyrics…those that want to forget about 911 and POW,s and bullshit war politics need a good kick in the nuts to remind them of what they have and how they got it. You do that, my friend, when it’s no longer fashionable, politically correct or trendy. If there were more guys like you out there, this country would be in way better shape than it is. Let it roll off your back like water on a duck. The ground zero folks are in the suppression stage and missing the point that what happened was not ever to be forgotten or brushed aside. You are NOT in the wrong. Keep doing your thing!

    Hey Brother,
    I have to agree with Kelly. Great job on your website!!!
    You have been a brother for many years and as always,
    I can’t believe the amount of passion and diligence you put into all you do!
    Your music has always stirred many emotions in the deepest parts of my soul!
    God Bless you,
    Derek

    Shane…I can’t tell you how proud I am of you, how honored I feel to be your friend, and you, mine. You know that music is in my soul, but it is the friends like you that make my soul content. I have worked with a million musicians, many that I wish I had not, but there have been a few, literally a few, that have touched me in a way that cannot be described…you are one of them. I have been hated by some, stalked by one or two, but definitely loved by you
